4th. – 27th. Jan ‘12
A wee bit late in posting because I haven’t been up to much, so thought I’d wait a couple of days to show off my new Car !!
In fact, I haven’t been well and for the last 10 days or so been pretty much grounded with a Chest Infection.
This seems to have come about from not really getting over a Cold at Christmas time then doing quite a lot of outdoor work getting both cold and damp.
But, the roll ups don’t help and I was told this quite bluntly by my Doctor.
I have now cut down to virtually none and arranged to see the special ‘Stop it’ Clinic on 10th. February.

After having paid out £500 on repairs to my Car in September (the brake pads suddenly decided to come off!), although passing it’s MOT with flying colours was told I will be needing new tyres shortly plus a dodgy start every morning with the Engine Management Light coming on, felt it was time for a change.
At first I was going to more or less swap, but seing the brand new version of the Kia Picanto along with all the plus’s like zero tax, roadside asistance, up to 75mpg, 7 year Warranty, I decided that for the extra £30 per month it has to be worth it.
So, in for a penny! I’m a happy bunny and although I’ve had a few brand new Company cars in my time but this is the first brand new car I’ve brought.
I see it as a cost effective and environmentally sound decision.

The Cricket Pavilion area at Canterbury looking good after the refurb – Birds busy getting their treats!
At the moment I’m just coming to the end of an 12 day House Sitting job. Being not far from home has enabled me to go home every day for a few hours, the Cat here sleeps from about 11am to 6pm., so a good time to pop out.
I shall be glad when I can return to finish off a couple of jobs at the house opposite though, need the money!
The good news is that every year, January and February are very tight, but I think I’m just about going to get through to when I start at Cricket in early March, just a coupke of days early March, then start proper on the 17th.
Not long to go, time passes too quickly!
One thing and the other has prevented me doing some much needed work in the garden, but two good days should sort that out and I’m ready to go with sowing a few things shortly.
I was supposed to do that two weeks ago but decided to blitz the front garden – a good days work and found part of a footpath I never knew was there!
I have a few outings in February, a day visiting friends, then looking after the Grandchildren in Southampton during their half-term.
Soon be back in the land of the living!
