Try changing the spark plug for a new one. Although the old one may look ok Honda's have a tendancy to get through plugs quicker than B&S engines. I've just serviced an HRB425 which wouldnt start - fitted new NGK BPR6ES & started first pull.

I have a Honda Eco Rotary mower HRG4 15c S serial no.8902868 which is playing up this year by starting well and then cutting out after about 30 secs. - is it because a filter is blocked and where is the damn thing? I've bled the carb. and cleaned the plug also sloshed out the petrol tank - am I missing something? Please help me.

Thanks for the information on how to change the oil, on the Honda.
I was quoted £100 for a basic service.

My son who mows the lawn told me the last time he cut the grass the engine was sputtering. I looked at the air filter and it was black. Cleaned it. Checked the oil and it too was black. Changed it. Afetr the next mow, checked the oil again and it was BLACK. Mower is still sputtering WITH a clean air filter. What is the problem? Thanks

My rusty old honda lawn mower is still kicking. Each year in the spring, I think "this is it old friend" but again, it proves me wrong and turns over. Amazing. How do they do it.
