Hope you feel better soon Manda x I agree that maintaining weight in the most difficult .. I must have lost tens of stones over the years but unfortunately put tens of stones back on too This course I'm doing in a couple of months we've got to stay the same weight for 3 months - the idea being to te...
I find with mine they're noisy when they know I'm about - as soon as they hear me open the kitchen door they start chunnering to be let out/given something to eat etc. If I manage to creep up on them they are usually quiet just making a noise when they lay or are frightened by something. So they may...
New trick tonight from Rita - let them out when I got in from work .. walking down the garden with a slice of bread for them as a treat .. all chickens running behind me .. Rita launches herself onto my bum, bounces up my back and sits on my shoulder so she got a bit of bread first safe from the oth...
Do any of you have chickens that are particular characters? When I got my last two chickens a few weeks ago - one has turned into a complete character - never had a chicken like her - she's into everything and frightened of nothing. Lovely Rita laid her first egg today ... she's been stooping down the last week so knew it was on the cards but she still looks a baby so was a bit surprised. Think she's my favourite chicken ever - she never stops talking and follows me everywhere - she's adorable
It's fantastic isn't it? Two more episodes so sure there'll be lots more nail biting moments. Sarah Lancashire is a really good actress and its so well scripted. I was really looking forward to "Prey" but think this is so much better.
My white star has a bald bum and has done for a few months now - no sign of pecking, mites nothing like that. Showing no signs of growing back. All the others fine. A mystery
Well we didn't win but it was fantastic - how the other half live! I shall now bore you with a load of pictures ..... The red carpet when we arrived it was so busy - like herding goldfish ... this was at the Drury Lane theatre where the actual ceremony was held. http://i1223.photobucket.com/albums/d...
well said - I've spent the afternoon in the garden with mine but just put them back in the run - they're grumbling but you're right it's easy to slip up then the sun's shining and no sign of danger about. Better safe than sorry.
