Re: New Photography Thread.

I walked across the Humber Bridge yesterday, as I have done many times before. Looking for new angles for an interesting pic. A moody sky helps, so much depends on the position of the sun and clouds. Would have been better if I had managed to get the wheels of a passing lorry the other side of that ...

Re: New Photography Thread.

A dog I used to walk for a friend. Got her to sit among the sugar beet. Sadly gone now. The owner has this picture in a frame.

I am interested in colour, contrasts, and composition.

Re: New Photography Thread.

Now that is a close up. It would easily convert to a piece of textile art. The colours and textures are interesting.

Re: any new hobbies?

No, it's not an SLR, cannot unscrew the lens. It's a Canon SX740 HS. I wanted something pocket size that I can carry in a pouch and get it out at any time. It's slightly bigger and heavier than a normal pocket size but smaller than an SLR. This is a shot I took with an older camera, a Fujifilm fd. O...

Re: any new hobbies?

So, I've opened a new thread. Yes, LL I like buildings, old and new. Unusual buildings. Reflections in water are good. Got to have a focal point. I like to play around with close ups but don't have a special lens for that. I edit with a simple programme already on my computer. Tweak the contrast, cr...

New Photography Thread.

Ok, let's do it. Anyone can post photographs. Make them arty. https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-JlxwPNXjmsM/YJU8IU5FyBI/AAAAAAAA1OA/-9ocBMuopeIph-CSDJOmXxLdODO0rGRIACLcBGAsYHQ/w400-h300/IMG_0172.JPG We get some amazing sunsets here. I am looking across to Yorkshire, the sun going down behind Drax Power Sta...

Re: Ilona's handmade makes. New thread

Might as well resurrect this thread, now I know how to add photo's. I have always got some art or craft project on the go. Something I finished last week. The heart is embroidered, with strips of fabric added to frame it. Stretched over an 8 inch canvas, with a piece of fabric stitched onto the back...

Re: any new hobbies?

Ilona, well done! I have Ted's camera, which I haven't a clue how to use. He used to download pictures onto the internet. It is sitting on the shelf and I so wish I could find out how to use it properly. I seem to remember that there are pages and pages of instructions on the internet. My camera ha...

Re: any new hobbies?

I bought a new camera, a Canon with an exceptionally good zoom. I am now looking for interesting subjects to photograph. It's making me look at my surroundings more closely. As I walk a lot I am finding trees that make good photographs. It's good for making videos as well. I can zoom in as I walk ar...

New hen house

Hello. I don't normally post on here because I don't have any poultry. I support GoodHeart Animal Sanctuary and they are planning a new home to take in rescued hens. GoodHeart rescue all kinds of farm animals. I have been there and have seen the work that they do. If you want to have a look here is ...

Re: How many of you have had your Covid jab?

I would urge everyone to do as much research as you can. Don't take the information from Main Stream Media, TV, newspapers, as gospel. The full implications of having the vaxx will not emerge until six months, a year, or two years down the line. It isn't a choice between get the vaxx and experiencin...

Same here, Mo. Thick joggy bottoms with leggings underneath and knee length socks. Keeps out all the draughts.
