Trust me I have been through this situation more times than I care to add up and it is not easy but how long can you go on force feeding ...

Re: water keeps freezingMy chicken is living in my log cabin at the moment. She is not happy about it but at 7 1/2 yrs old I think it is too cold for her to be out, even in her run. Her little Omlet house was lovely and warm and she also had a shelter but would insist on digging up the rest of the run.
