Re: Who has the most Pets........

A very low tally I'm afraid,
3 cats
4 chicken (1 ex- batt)
frogs and newts in the pond.
I do tame and rehome a random supply of kittens from the local wild cats. Mine were left in my compost heap (Mum dug a nest inside it) :-D

Re: Peas

You need the very twiggy branches to make a kind of mesh support. I expect some peas do have better tendrils for clinging than others but I don't know which ones. I remember growing purple podded peas many years ago and they grew about 5 foot high but most only get to 3 foot.

Plastic packaging

Every year people offer me the plastic packaging from easter eggs. I still haven't found a use for it . Any ideas? We don't have a recycling facility for t...

Re: Several somethings for nothing!

My gran was quite shameless at this technique. She always got the old bacon bits and bones from the butchers for next to nothing and for my 18th party (many years ago) she blagged a victorian ewer from an antique shop to use as a punch bowl. I still have it.

Re: Tip - Old chest freezer??

Don't forget that old freezers are a real danger to children playing hide and seek. Make sure that you break the catch so that anyone getting in can get out again!
