Re: Another cracker joke

I don't know. What is the difference between a poorly dressed man on a tricycle and a well-dressed man on a bicycle?

Re: ... and so it begins

It's very easy to oversimplify. E.g. renewables (but where do you get the batteries from), windfarm (but will it cause bird strikes), etc etc I remember back in the 70s there was a campaign against coloured toilet rolls and my first thought was 'will that mean more bleach in the rivers instead?' Whe...

Re: Shall I or shan`t I?

I know how it feels. I was lost without Pat - needed to get another cat ASAP.
I feel that cats are easier than dogs (and my daughter lives near and keeps horses next to my house so can feed on the few occasions when I can't, and I know she would take her if need be).
Hope the check-up goes well.

Re: Another cracker joke

What do you call a pea that pops out of the pod onto the floor while you are shelling them?

Re: How does your garden grow?

Just picked my first crop of 2024. Frost forecast so I thought those pencil thin sticks of rhubarb wouldn't survive. Not quite a portion so I added a small apple. Very nice.

Another cracker joke

I spent ages looking for a thread I thought was there Cracker Jokes Got all involved in reading about 4 years worth of members chats - we had some interesting discussions back then. And all because I had a silly thought (remembering something my father used to say). So here you are then - What did t...

Re: Learning Guitar

Yes, if you don't have an incentive to practise (e.g.a class next week) it tends to get left. Same with my recorders and piano accordion though after playing in pub sessions for a week at a Folk Festival my fingers start to link what my head is humming to the holes on the recorder. I come home vowin...

Re: Electric egg cooker

A few years ago my friend wanted to look round a kitchen shop and among the amazing gadgets there was something shaped like half an egg (rounded top, flat bottom). The top was clear, the base was red when you put it into a pan of cold water with the egg/s, as the eggs cooked the base changed changed...

Those of us who have kept hen have seen first hand that animals quite different from us are still intelligent and capable of feelings. CWF are asking people to send an email to protest.

Never tried that. Never planted garlic as Jim hated it, and i wasn't keen.

Re: Manure bricks for heat

I know people have posted in the past about using newspaper bricks. I can imagine few people buy newspapers these days and the freebie local ones are no longer delivered any more so getting quantities like in the past could be more difficult. True, and magazines and junk mail are shiny paper that d...
