anybody else having this problem.the hegde is been eaten away by masses of caterpillers,they cover themselfs in like a wool,and the birds cannt get to them.ImageImageImage

Wow, I've not seen that before! I did see something like it on my Life in the Undergrowth DVD, but not in real life, if you know what I mean

I used to see that in a hedge on my way to school, havent seen it for years though, cant remember what kind of caterpillar makes it.

this is in north dorset,blandford forum to salibury.its got bad over the last 4 years,onebody seams to do anything about them,there is 1,000s of them ,ive forgotten what the caterpillers are called,try to find out,there is now lots of dead hedgerow as they kill the hedge.
