identification please
identification pleaseHope I've put this in the right place... Does anyone know what type of caterpillar the above are please? We have a couple of trees in our garden covered in cobweb-type stuff containing lots of little black dots and these small caterpillars ranging in colour from cream to almost black. It looks awful and MrB thinks they must be some kind of moth (my phobia, butterflies no problem) so I have been lopping as much off as possible (sorry if that upsets anyone). However, I would like to know what they are if anyone can help. Thanks in advance! BekiB
Re: identification pleaseIt appears to be a tent caterpillar, but all I can find on google is in the USA.
And yes, it's a moth! Very destructive apparently. I'd like to live as a poor man with lots of money.
