We'll have to start calling you Dee Dolittle!
Birds can sometimes be stunned if they fly into things etc so hopefully this wee fella will be back on his feet before too long )t'

Well if he has made it through the night things might be looking up for the pigeon.

If he's got cat bites the chances are a course of antibiotics from vets may help. If he is a wild bird you can get emergency veterinary treatment free of charge for him (you would need to complete a wildlife form and vet could give a course of treatment, and vet can claim cost back from RSPCA)

Hope both your waifs OK )t'

I'm not sure but I would think giving him some mealworms wouldn't hurt :? Glad he's still with you maybe it's worth taking him along to the vet when you're taking your other stray?
Good luck with them both!

Glad to hear that the pigeon is still with you. But have to say this Dee, you do realise that things come in three's, dont you? Watch out for the third. LOL

I found a jackdaw and a pigeon the other year and the RSPCA collection officer picked them up as we were going away. The jackdaw survived, but unfortunately the pigeon was pts here because it had been shot and in a really bad way. Hope your pigeon has better luck.

He looks fine , not to thin , eyes are bright and wings are working , no visable signs of injury ...it was dark when i found him....my outside light was on and its very bright ...thinking he was blinded by it and flew into the wall !
So now im feeling guilty !

Mmm he may have hit something because of your light. But what was he doing flying in the dark. Maybe something spooked him.
Don't feel guilty you picked him up, rather than leave him to be eaten.

Pleased to hear mr pigeon still alive - sadly a lot of them succumb to stress and shock. So hopefully he will make progress. I'v taken in a number of birds from work who've just needed somewhere to rest and get strength back - hopefully he will be well enough to take off to the wild again, soon.

Took the pidgeon to the vet, left him with them ...pretty sure he would have to be pts as he got worse during the morning , poor little thing...
