We spent at lot of time at my mother-in-laws house about ten years ago. She lived on the outskirts of Beverley. Lots of them - all different sizes - used to visit the garden in the evening. I'd often meet one crossing the road on my way home from an evening out. I don't walk around at night here, maybe I'd see them if I did.

Awww how cute is he? {hug}

When we first moved here we had one living under our shed. He was there for about three years but haven't seen one since.

Awww he is lovely Angela. :-D

The photo looks like it's in the daytime ? ..Just a reminder to all that if a hedgehog is out in the daytime he needs medical help, don't try and treat it yourselves .. The sooner he gets treated the better chance of survival. Our Hedgehogs are on the Red list, as being in danger of extinction within the next 20 years, so every hedgehog is precious )t'
We are lucky to have a dedicated wildlife hospital near us but if you don't give Tiggywinkles a ring and they'll help you find somewhere. )t'

We have hedgehogs in our garden. I saw one wandering about in the lane near our house yesterday and hoped it wasn't one of ours. Sadly, there was a body on the verge this morning. Poor little thing. It might be one of the ones that lives at the edges of one of the fields - there's been lots of standing water in that area and I guess it upset the little pet. Oh dear.
Bea; 19 hens (most of whom I intended to get); 6 bantams (which I never intended to have); old Benji dog and young Toby dog (who I definitely wanted). Three years into country living and loving it.
