just look at my little babies growing {hug} {hug} )t'

they are now on stems pushed into a jar filling with oasis and water with cling film over the top, this is inside a 10litre plastic tub with a net lid

Ock, I don't really like insects much, but I have to say WOW!!! they are beautiful. I couldn't own one but they are fascinating to look at. )t'
15 ex batty girls, 2 rescue jack russels and one very naughty Shih Tzu puppy who rules the household!!!

Aren't they stunning!! It's amazing they turn from something that is so colourful in to something that's basically brown with a skull.....ain't nature amazing?

Have to say Ock if anything could convert me to liking moths, those piccies would do it. They are really beautiful and have grown so fast. Cant believe I am typing these words. LOL

aww I`m so glad {hug} , they are beautiful and really amazing, it`s nuts to think about how small they were a few weeks ago and how much they change with each moult, hopefully they`ll be about 5 inches long within the next week or so )grin2(

They are so big! so what next - will they find a place to make a coccoon? Will they all hatch?

they`ll get up to about 5 inches long then change colour a bit, go a bit purple and rush around the tub, I`ll then put them in tubs with about 6 inches of compost in the bottom and they`ll bury themselves and turn into pupas, after about 10 days I`ll dig them up and then hopefully they`ll all hatch >gl< >gl< )c(

not anymore, they`ve grown so fast and are eating soooooo much now I couldn`t keep up with feeding them enough, they are now in my garage in the moth cage with a bush to eat )eat( )eat( )grin2(
