Should I try to feed them?

We used to have lots of hedgehogs in the garden but not seen them for a while.

I was thinking of putting down some cat food near the pond and seeing if any hedgehogs are attracted. Not sure if this is a good idea, there's always a danger you just end up feeding rats or foxes. Good idea or not?
