Rhododendrons

Post by cgisby »

I've been working so hard to make my garden a wildlife friendly place, planting wildlife friendly flowers/plants, putting up nest boxes and insect homes. Didn't even think about the massive rhododendron that's already growing and then I see something about them being toxic to bees! Should I pull it out? It's one of the nicest looking things I've got! }hairout{

Pretty sure bees would avoid it if it's bad for them.

My friend loves his bees and yet has a patch of woodland full of rhodies, so I'm sure it will be fine.

We have over half a dozen Rhodies in our garden hedge. No shortage of bees.
