winterizing my bird feeders

Post by saint-spoon »

With cold snap upon us I have been swapping seed feeders for suet blocks and feeders with suet pellets. I still have plenty of seed feeders with various mixes to attract different birds and peanuts but I have filled a peanut feeder with suet pellets, put up a suet ball feeder and turned some of the seed feeders to high energy ones. It’s important to ensure that they have fresh water to drink as well. At the last count I had 12 feeders over two feeding stations and a couple of wall hooks. I hope that the avian fauna appreciates my efforts.
