In a previous thread on Fieldfares I mentioned these little birds that have started nesting in our barn, finally (now the snow has gone) I have managed to get a photo of them, what are they? Black redstarts?

Is it robin sized? RSPB website would agree with your guess, if so.
Never seen one myself.

Thanks Mo, the birds are around robin size and look absolutely stunning. Hopefully we will see them nest and raise their young. )t'

Looks like a Black Redstart to me.

Here's a picture of a juvenile I took at Samphire Hoe near Dover last year..
