Robins

Post by chickenchaser »

I can see the robin looks to be winning the photo comp this month. It got me thinking how lovely and brave they are.

I have one who was on the fence singing his little heart out on the fence this afternoon. He was only a few feet away (f+

So, like an obedient slave I came in and got the mealworms to put on the bird table in the run.

Of course the chickens were not left out. He always seems to come when I'm in the chicken run and sings until I see him and fetch the grub LOL

I know a lot of people have robins, I wondered how many did and if there were any nice little stories to be told (f+

We live in a bungalow and I have a bird table outside my bedroom window. I see a robin or two on it probably every day, and it looks so pretty at the moment as the roof has a thick layer of snow on it, with the robin on the table underneath it looks just like a Christmas card. So in the morning I sit in bed with my cup of tea, stroking the dog and looking out at my feathered friends - how lovely is that :-D

I love Robins and the way they follow you around, nosey little things but quite nasty sometimes to other birds.

The other thing is, do you say 'I have a robin'. We always seem to see them as one, when in fact there's often three in my garden !

And do they all have the same name !!!

I wrote an article about the Robins in my garden HERE
