I'd never tasted or grown this vegetable before so it was an experiment that started off badly (my seedlings were slug attacked so only had one left which was then carefully nurtured!)

If no-one has ever tried it before, it is relatively easy to grow and tastes a bit like a sweet turnip (you can also eat it raw) I can certainly recommend it. However, watch out - as a brassica, it definitely attracts the cabbage white butterfly, so remember to net it or whatever other method you use! )t'

I've grown a few as a trial this year - the slugs tucked in!
