Mushrooms

Post by OldForum »

Sam
hi
i love wild mushrooms you get them in different seasons I go to bogs and forests to collect wild mushrooms. My dad has a book with all the different types of wild mushrooms in it and it tells you which ones are posinous and which are not. Sometimes it is very hard to tell the difference but it is a great feeling collecting your own mushrooms and then taking them home and frying them up for supper for free.

Yep, nothing beats it does it?

I wish I had the knowledge (and nerve) to pick mushrooms, but I'm always wary.

My, then, Father-In-Law was Italian and lived in Tuscany. We'd goout into the forest where he would collect them.

What concerned me was he had very VERY bad eyesight. He'd pick one and hold it about an inch from his eyes and say "OK".
We'd return home where he'd do a Pasta and I have to admit that I thought my end was about to come every time I had some!

But the tastes were brilliant.

Strange because I had cream mushroom on Pasta at Cricket today!
