The One-Straw Revolution

Post by TassieDev »

Wasnt sure which board to put this one on!!

Has anyone read 'The One-Straw Revolution' by Masanobu Fukuoka?

I'm reading it now.

Very interesting stuff. Although the actual farming method is probably specific to the area of Japan he is in, there's lots of interest in his philosophy on farming, vege gardening, food production and marketing, eating, living, etc!!!!
I think it was written back in the 70's but it still seems totally relevant - ie not much has changed :?

yes for sure...... some of his ideas were based on old ways, but some were different and basically just came from his long experience watching nature (he was also trained in agriculture and started out his career that way)

thanks for the website - will check it all out once i've finished the book!
