Is it too late to think about planting them?
With all the excitment of getting my girls earlier than expected, everything else got forgotten about.
Isnt Easter weekend when you are supposed to plant them? Not even bought any yet and your supposed to chit them as well arnt you?
How long does that take?

We only ever put a token few in on Good Friday. And Easter is early this year. Everything grows quicker if you plant it when things have warmed up.
Early potatos mature quickly but have a smaller crop than 'late' varieties, so you can plant them as soon as it's warm enough, and get an early crop, or later and still get a crop.
Lates go on growing for longer (but you could dig them before they are full size).

Mine are not planted yet - too cold and wet. Maybe next week.

My patch is so wet it will be a couple of weeks before I think about planting and if it rains any more they will just have to wait.

As its been snowing all weekend ,I've not planted mine yet. I've just planted some seeds in pots on the kitchen window to start things off.

I've just spoken to himself (to find out what 'chit' meant!) and we've done that, started them off in pots inside and this weekend put them in the potato bucket. I think we're planning on doing a couple of plantings..I hope so anyway, we've got bags of seedlings!
