My Acer - Big Head !!

Post by Richard »

It's looking pretty good this year....

I would be a big head, but I've done absolutely nothing to it for nigh on 11 years.

It's a Haven for the Birds.

That's a beauty Richard. I have one in a pot in the yard and I love it, only it's a titch (f+ I bought it from BQ as a throw out specimen( in the bargain bin) My dad has a good many varieties in his garden too. On google earth you can see one in his front garden! amazing technology (f+

The worse and horrible side of me sometimes thinks "Bet that's worth a bob or two" !!

I post about the Acer every year. Besides the vegetables, it's about the only thing of real interest in the garden, although I do look after the trees and shrubs.

In about a weeks time, the Iris array will bloom, albeit short lived, it's a joy to walk around (left overs from a gardening job I did about five years ago) - they're everywhere !

Our irises are over now but there are huge seed pods on them now. I love the blue type. (f+

Beautiful specimen, Richard. I bought 2 for a fiver from Wilcos a few weeks ago. They're just spindly twigs now, but in years to come....
