Fleece, netting and such like

Post by Stef »

Does anyone know of a good online seller of lengths of fleece, netting and polythene, 2m x 10m?

I've been out to the real shops and got an idea of prices but wondered if I could get some online cheaper.

I have found HarrodsHortic.... they have everything I need and the bill is about £50 delivered.

Fingers crossed. >fi<

Have a look at e-bay - I've been quite happy with some purchases from there. I also compare with Amazon and have picked up some cheaper stuff (the free p&p can sometimes be the clincher - of course, not all are supersaver so do check) )t'

You have to be careful with the Amazon free P&P.
I ordered something for Christmas and after I'd clicked I wondered why it was more than I expected. They'd charged my for faster delivery, but I noticed in time to change it.

True but Amazon have always done that and they do warn about clicking on supersaver to claim free postage if it was applicable. However, a lot of the non-book/video items are sold by independent businesses that have a shop on the site and they have their own postage charges. For example, I noticed a well known seed seller charges 80p p&p on Amazon yet only 59p on their e-bay site for the same price seed. A polytunnel company charges free p&p on Amazon but the polytunnels are much more expensive than their e-bay site where they charge £10 for p&p.

Yes, and when you search Amazon (or is it ebay) it comes up with an offer and says 4 more from ...
The 'from' price might be cheaper, but when you add P&P it isn't

I checked Amazing and ee-bu-gum-bay and went with HarrodHortic.

It was most definitely cheaper than anywhere else, especially when I found a couple of discount codes, ended up with free p+p.

Thanks for the help, hopefully all will be fine - off to Freegle for a quick ask for some other bitses and pieces :-D

Hiya Stef

Regardless of where you go there is not going to be much in the prices .

Thanks Bill, I did do a price comparison with them and they were a little more expensive because of the offer in site and the voucher codes I found.

HH have 10m packs of all coverings on special, and as my bed is 8m long it seemed perfect to go with those :-D

I bought some similar items not long ago. This company sell polythene sheeting in a number of sizes http://www.qvsshop.co.uk//polythene-sheeting-137-c.asp and I also picked up a roll of Fleece from them. Just had a look and they also do a range of netting. Hope that helps.
