Yucky eggs in my spuds!

Post by jemberelli »

HELP! Hubby and I have just harvested a pile of bag-grown Anya. As usual, we tipped the bag out into the chooks' run and sifted through for potatoes. Some were a good size, some were a tad small so they could probably have had a bit longer but I needed spuds for tonight so hey ho! Anyway, I digress...the problem is that we spotted lots of tiny, whiteish eggs in the soil. I have googled but am not really any the wiser - tuber worm, slugs? Do any of you wise gardeners have any words of wisdom? Do I need to harvest all the others bags of spuds or do you think I could risk leaving them? :?

Thanks in advance x

Oval = ants but then you would have spotted the adults tto.
Most likely slugs and or snail eggs. Just destroy them.
