ugly fruit/veg cage

Post by kitla »

oh dear, we've finally got the cage up & frankly its an eyesore. I had an image in
my mind of an attractive cage with a discrete frame & black string netting, however
what dh actually bought was steel framed (like scaffold), very tall, with plastic
netting. I don't think the next door neighbour is too thrilled either.
I'm trying to think of ways to soften the shock a bit! I wondered if I could let
something grow up one side of the netting - like nasturtiums or sweet peas?
has anyone done this? or would I regret it?

Haha I'm having similar thoughts about my new duck run, I think a couple of hanging baskets are my first port of call.

I think hanging baskets would be too heavy & would look odd as its so tall.
Unless I could try those pointy baskets that are quite small round the top but
deep & pointy at the bottom. I'll have a google.

side
