Fennel

Post by paddy graham »

Not been on here for a while due to a project that I have been helping to get going, but can anyone please tell me if its good to grow Fennel in a tunnel along with other salad veg.
Also, can runner beans be grown with good results in a tunnel.Thanks.

I can't tell you, I'm afraid, Paddy, as I haven't done either, but we live quite far north and I've always managed them fine in the garden. Beans seem to like a quite cool environment, and I think fennel might bolt if it got too warm, but if the growing area was well ventilated and not too hot then it may be OK.
