Currants and raspberries...relocation

Post by Scrambled »

We've inherited a greenhouse - )c( - and we need to get it in situ fairly soon. Problem is, I've got three fruit bushes (redcurrant, blackcurrant and raspberry) which I planted a couple of years ago, which have exploded this year and are absolutely laden with fruit already....and are just in the way of where the greenhouse will go.

Has anyone moved any fruit bushes at this time of year - and if so, any advice? I know it's the wrong time of year, but there's little choice really >shrug<

(just posted this on the wrong bit of the gardening forum....so have moved it here, hope this works. Eyesight not what it was!!)

Yes we moved our fruit cage at the beginning of this month. So far so good the bushes have kept their flowers and currants fruit is formed.

You could try taking a few cuttings just in case. >fi<
