Runner Beans come good !

Post by Richard »

My Runner Beans were not very thick with leaf, not the normal loads of beans on compared to past years through Summer.

Then, about 10 days ago it all started going silly again, loads of blossom and fresh Beans growing.

Took this picture earlier today (3rd. Sept).....

Mine never did much, then a burst of flowers just before we went on holiday (so I had a picking of smallies before we went and they were a good size (but not too big & tough) when we got back. No more flowers though.

Same here. Abd we've already got a freezer full of french beans. It's been a good year for beans all round. The broad beans were excellent.
Bea; 19 hens (most of whom I intended to get); 6 bantams (which I never intended to have); old Benji dog and young Toby dog (who I definitely wanted). Three years into country living and loving it.
