Rape seed oil

Post by AnnaB »

How many of you have tried this? I have always used extra virgin olive oil and read a few good reports about rape seed oil and tried it (cold pressed variety)
It is fantastic - roast potatoes are golden and crisp. Cake tins do not stick as they do with butter.
It is healthier than olive oil and it is not imported - made in the UK.

Rapeseed oil

I use rapeseed oil all the time and like you never have any problems with sticking tins etc. It doesn't overpower the taste of the food as some oils do.
I've used it for salads, frying, deep frying, baking and roasting, with vegetables meat and fish and would recommend it.

Do you think it would help with allergies to rape pollen, as if you eat your locally produced honey, that is meant to help, I've brought some to see if this works, maybe I ought to try this too.
Cheers

I would try a very little of it topically first and see if there's any reaction. It would be better if the skin flared rather than all over you by ingesting it
