I'm going to make cider this autumn since the massive apple tree in the garden produces more fruit than we can eat in pies and crumbles. I could fill the freezer. Twice over.
I used to make beer, cider and wine when I was a student but I made the cider from a kit rather than from real apples.
I have an outbuilding that has the hot water cylinder in it so is likely to be warm enough for good fermentation.
I don't have a tried & tested recipe though! Any experienced cider makers here?
