Post by Richard »

Thought we could have a food giggle where you can share some of your more unusual food combinations and tastes whilst you awaited that lovely painless moment !!

(Personally, I had the same tastes as always)

No wierd combinations, just lots more of everything. I did take to eating 2 trays of ice cubes a day. Same for all three pregnancies and it makes no sense at all as it is only water.

Not that any of you are likely to have it (I certainly don't) but you can watch the third 'painless moment' on Discovery Health Chanel - episode 6 of the 'Midwives' series.

I have no shame!

with my first 11 years ago, it was tomatoes, morning noon and night, tinned or fresh on crusty bread no butter, and strawberry squash frozen in plastic cups then eaten with a spoon  with my second 5 years ago, it was boiled cabbage and nectarines as hard as you could find then kept in the fridge so they were very cold(could not eat them soft or warm)

very weird, but thats me lol

Hi with my son 14 years ago i remember craving spam fritters lovely and greasy, and went off coleslaw for some reason. With my daughter i craved citrus and fruity things, oranges and lime cordial.

I remember going to those classes that are supposed to prepare you for the birth and how to look after a baby, i hadn't even held a baby or baby sat when i had my son, the midwife asked if they were any questions about being admitted to the labour ward, i said "are you allowed to eat" she said dear you won't want to eat, i was worried about being hungary if my labour went on for hours, "what a numpty" i also remember we were having a video of a birth in class, and i asked if i could sit outside as i had just had a fry up. (classic) LOL.
