Yogurt gone wrong - help!Yogurt gone wrong - help!Been making yogurt for years, no probs, then today opened a jar of batch I made yesterday, and it's ll runny and doesn't smell even of yogurt. Why?? I use a thermometer, so milk was right temp, and trusty Lidl yogurt maker, can I put it all to heat for another 5 hours?
Wow, I'm confused too. I would have thought if your milk at right temperature it should be OK. Are you using yoghurt culture or from a ready made batch?
I used to use a yogurt maker using cultures and had varying degrees of success. Now have one of those easi-yo jobbies and find it a doddle - no messing about with a thermometer any more. http://www.freshstartforhens.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
