You can't beat this for breakfast

Post by fabindia »

Mrs Fab was busy yesterday, so we didn't do the weekly shop and therefore had no soft fruit in. So I got up at 6:30 and went out and picked so wild raspberries, a load of cherries from a cherry tree on a local industrial estate and a few wild plums (not yet overly ripe but still edible with a slight sharpness).

Made sourdough pancakes (actually they are quite sweet as they have golden syrup in them) so had had wild fruit pancakes for breakfast.

Sounds a lovely start to the day. Aren't you lucky to have so much wild fruit around you, especially cherries. My son has a huge cherry tree growing on the grass verge outside his house, but he lives too far away from me to pick them on a whim.
I am now a widow and live with my memories.
