Jen what about limoncello, looks lovely in this type of bottle. As you say there are a number of alocoholic drinks vodka or gin based.

What about flavoured vinegars as well?

In the small jars tell you what would be nice if you couldn't be bothered to do chutneys - what about olives or nut mixture. I am sure I had some really good recipes from Good Food magazines a couple of years ago. Bet you could get some from internet (think from a couple of Christmasses ago).

Limoncello recipe I also got from Good Food, I think.

I make a rosemary vinegar for my own use, and it's very nice.

I use a very tall thin bottle, fill it with nice white organic vinegar, and then slip in a long piece of rosemary (washed beforehand). After a couple of months the rosemary can lose its green colouring, becoming more browny-green, and so I regularly replace the rosemary as this makes it stronger tasting.

It's fabulous for making mint sauce - mint and rosemary all in one!

The rosemary variety I use is Miss Jessop's Upright - a tall and slender branched version. Every time the wind breaks a branch, I snip it off and refresh the vinegar.

I'm a bit worried now, I bought a couple of bottles of cheep olive oil a few weeks ago and jammed some dried chillis into the bottles and shoved em out in the shed for christmas pressys, hope they will be ok, didn't realise there was a health risk.
