Cut comb in honey

Post by Babycakes »

I have a jar of this in work that I keep for putting on my porridge in the mornings. The honey is amost done, but the comb is still in there. Can I eat it? Sorry for being thick, but have never had comb in my honey before!!

Some people like it.
It is just wax, personally I'm not keen, and it is usually a lot more expensive than ordinary honey, as the bees then have to make a new honeycomb instead of working away at filling it with honey.

Yes, you can eat it. My dad used to love it.

Not sure what it tastes of though.

I will try it when the jar is totally empty. I dont normally buy it you see, but my dad bought me it as a sort of treat for when I can back to work after maternity leave - it has lasted me 6 months!!

I would cut a bit and spread it on your toast with the honey other wise if you wait till the end it's just a bunch of wax....I love it!
