we are having a welsh day in the canteen
apart from
leek and chips
what the hell are they going to cook?

taffy apples
dafadil soup(i must admit we are not sure if daffs are welsh)
and thats about it

Welsh cakes :-D Yum.

My Grandad used to make these for us, we loved them. Unfortunately I am rubbish at anything that involves using flour (I blame my oven!) so do not have a tried and tested recipe but there are loads if you google it. :-D

cawl - mutton stew, although it's usually lamb these days
lavabread - seaweed in breadcrumbs and fried, or oatmeal or something similar
salt marsh lamb
glamorgan sausages - vegetarian sausages with cheese and leek
to err is human..to moo, bovine...

leeks
and
lamb
with cheese :shock:

elvis night
going to be a belter then
deepfried peanutbutter sarnies
with a toping of squirel

we have got a few different days of food from around the world
planned
think i might be off that week :!:
