Hi

I was thinking along the same lines as Anna - liver with ginger is tasty. Here is a recipe http://www.opensourcefood.com/people/wokkingmum/recipes/liver-with-ginger-and-spring-onions/

Omit the wolfberries unless you have a specialist chinese grocer near you.

My wife, who is chinese, cooks something like this but using chicken livers which in my view are best of all. They cook very quickly though.

Hi Anna

Mrs PK has not used water chestnuts in that way but in other dishes, yes. You have made an important point about chinese cuisine though, and that is texture can be just as important as taste and I can appreciate how the two do go together.

well-never though of anything exotic like chinese liver recipies! Dont think Hubby would like to find something crunchy in the sauce, so I think I'll stick to the plain liver and onions type of meal.
many thanks
