Not enough 'networking' Mel, if only everyone were really aware the big boys would be out of business tomorrow.

Maybe then, we could have our small shops and communities back and all animals would get a good deal.

I don't know why half the things on the market are allowed! )de:

I mean pet food and products are scary enough, but so many of the things for HUMANS are just as bad if not worse :?

Hello all

Haven't been on for a while (busy with year end - joy!!)

Anyway, I use Profender - which is a prescription only from the vets for worming - what are the problems with is, as these postings have made me nervous!!!! )hlp>

Thanks for the link melons.
The article made an interesting point. It claimed that various chemicals had been used for flea treatments but were withdrawn because of side effects. The newer ones haven't been used for long, so there's not been time to discover any snags there might be.
I suppose by adding a solvent to carry the drug through the skin you may be adding another risk.

What i didn't like was it saying "oh it even lasts through bath time", but then says if you splash yourself, wash off with water :?
It was also the hidden elements which they don't have to declare, as they are classed as trade secrets, some of these could be equally harmful, but me being a natural pessimist would think that. I'll keep on plugging away at it now it has alerted my suspicions.

mmm.

The writer was from New Mexico, so was talking about US law. I don't no what the law about vet medicines are here, but human medicines have a great list, not just the 'active ingredients'
