I know! I got on a bit of a roll with posting pics yesterday, so thought I would add some of the furry babies!

Lesley is 3, Brian is 3, Bandit is 2, Archie & Valentine are both under a year old.

All are rescues, Bandit & Archie were typical 6 month olds unwanted, unhandled, unneutered, very aggressive hobs, the typical smelly, bitey variety ferrets that get the whole species a bad name! :-D however having been for the op & a bit of love, care, attention, good food, a bath & gardening gloves (to begin) they are both now as soft as putty!

I can now let children cuddle them at shows, Bandit is a particularly good racing ferret as he is very quick! :-D

Nice piccies, lovely ferrets.
My son used to have ferrets when he lived at home. My daughter and his partner bought harnesses and took them for walks. Was quite amusing to watch them LOL

They really are cute aren't they.

I love them, but have the 'trouser leg' syndrome !!

yes they do the trouser climbing thing, but weirdly, on the outside!!

when im in the aviary they all want a cuddle, so just climb up me or climb on top of their hutch & throw themselves at me (expecting me to catch them!)

They stay as playful, like kittens their whole lives, so are very funny to watch, they rival chickens for time wasting!! :?

They do watch the hens, but dont bother much & if they get their noses or paws to close to the wire & a pheasant or hen is passing they get pecked!! :)

sadly they are very cheap to buy & very cute, but then if you dont train them properly they can become very aggressive pet!

I usually end up with the bitey boys at 6 months old when they have grown out of the really cute kit stage & are smelly & unhandleable!!

But as i said Archie & Bandit are proof that they can be retrained.
