Thanks Lyn and Gwen {hug}

She's very rude is this vet nurse.

I took Benny's paperwork in for his insurance the other day. I stood there at the counter waiting to acknowledge I was there, whilst she was texting on her phone and chatting to a colleague.

Nevermind, we'll be joining Roman and Sharon at the other place soon anyway )t'

Our Benny loves chasing flies in the sunshine, but the other day he was limping quite badly so I took him to see the vet.

Roman gave him a good going over and said there was some swelling {cry}

So Benny stayed there for a few hours whilst he had a steroid injection under sedation, bless him.

All seems good so far, we go for a follow up appointment on Thursday.

Poor Benny. This leg problem does seem to be going on for some time. Let's hope that the steroid injection will help and get him on the road to recovery.
If it is the doggy version of injection that OH had in his knee, it worked wonderfully well and gave him a great deal of relief. {hug} to both you and Benny. To you for the worry that you have had and for Benny, just because he deserves a big cuddle.

Sorry to hear Benny has been unwell again. I really hope you get it sorted soon. Had a look and realised you started this post last Dec, which is a long time for it to be going on. Sending you all {hug} {hug} {hug}

Just thought I'd give you a little update.

Saw Roman again yesterday and he's very pleased with Benny's progress.

He's to remain off the pain relief (Loxicom) and to have two glucosamine tablets a day for the next six weeks.

Lead walks only for two weeks, no jumping or running like a loony.

We both remarked how Benny's now putting his weight fully on his paw, rather than standing on his tippy toe a bit, as he was.

You should see the size of these tablets, they're about the size of a £2 coin yike*

{rofwl} Thought I was being kind breaking his first dose in half for him and our naughty/clever big boy took the cheese I'd coated the piece in and spat out the tablet!

We now down in one )t'

Here's our lovely boy with his Birthday bandana :-D

Glad to hear he's improving Bev, he's such a lovely looking dog {hug}

I wonder why they make such huge pills for dogs. When Mishka was on her antibiotics they were huge pink things and she was so good at pretending to take one and then spitting it out when our backs were turned :?

Thanks so much everyone {hug}

Yes the jab seems to have done the trick and he's tolerating the massive pills well too so that's good as well.

They're so funny with their tablets aren't they {rofwl}
