it`s a squirrel, came home and the cat was hiding down by the car with it in it`s mouth, it`s got a lump taken out of it`s ear but I think that`s all that`s wrong with it, think it`s in shock, really limp, was just lying on it`s side unable to move, it`s in a cat crate now snuggled up, hopefully it`s come round at some point and go back up into the trees with it`s friends, there was another squirrel in the trees going mad, probably it`s mate, think it`s a female as the other one defo looked like a male

You do know it's illegal to release them once they're caught don't you?

I'm sure nobody'll say anything though :)

Is it a young'un?

You do have to be careful as squirrels can be highly dangerous critters you know.
We had one in the porch and was trying to get it to go home and shoo it out.
We were offering it food and trying to get it to come out from under the shelving where it was hiding. It came out alright, @ 90 miles an hour, flying squirrel straight at Hubbies face!! Think it tried to take his eye out as it flew past. It raked it's claws down his eyelid yike* while using the rest of his face as a trampoline !!

It went home, probably bragging to it's friends how it faced the monsters and lived!!

why`s it illegal ? is it to do with it not being native ? to be honest I think the cat might of broke it`s neck as it`s still just all floppy, it`s still alive but just limp, I thought it would come back round after an hour or so but it hasn`t, hope it hasn`t got any babies, not noticed any nipples though so hopefully not
