Little Pepper

Post by wendy »

Had to go to see a sweet little, brindle staffy. Pepper.
Very stressed in kennels and spins all the time. So much that she has made her feet bleed.
So she is now in a warm shed with a duvet all over the floor, armchairs and a radio on.
It was very much 'can you look at her ' as I was coming home. So Gave her 3/4 of an hour.
She didn't spin when I was with her, but such a sweetie, so desperate to please. Not that old and has had, probably, more than one litter. What is the matter with people. Hundreds of Staffordshire bull terriers are dying daily and people are still breeding them !
Fortunately she is going into foster tomorrow, so that may ease her a bit.

Poor little girl. I feel so deeply for them when I hear of the distress that they are going through. She should be a lot better in a foster home where she can get whatever it is that she needs.
As you say Wendy, there are so many of dogs, especially Staffies, that need help. The problem is that some people don't see animals as having feelings or emotions, so get rid of them like a bit of garbage. I wish the law would come down on them a lot heavier.

Thank goodness that there are people like you Wendy, who are prepared to devote a part of your life to caring for the likes of Pepper. {hug}
I am now a widow and live with my memories.
