Poor old Giinger in this heat, doesn't know where to go or what to do with himself.
I recalled Big Ron (who had a good brain!!) had a favourite spot in the front garden so yesterday put Ginger's outside mat which he loves in the same spot.
Seems to have done the trick.
For now anyway !!!

The fan moves around the room more than I do !. Each time Megan moves, I move it to play on her. Being old and a bulldog, hot weather isn't good for her.
With the heat we have improvised in order to keep all our animals cool inside.
In front of the floor fan we have a bowl topped up with ice, water and the frozen blocks that are used in cool boxes. The air moving over the bowl gives of a lovely cooling effect.
Also at the rear of our standing floor fan we have attached a cut down "pop" bottle either side then we stand a small frozen water bottle in each, the cool air is pulled from the rear of the fan and blasted out of the front.
As long as the ice/frozen blocks in the bowl and the frozen water bottles are replaced on a regular basis the room and our animals are lovely and cool.
Teddy, Clare's GSD has a doggie pool outside and keeps going in that and we also have fans in the house and usually keep curtains drawn during the day with windows closed. Mollie cat who is 18 this year doesn't seem to mind being warmer, usually aiming for any bed with a duvet on which she curls up on.
