Update on my Mistie

Post by albertajune »

I still have my little cat, for a while any way
Her cancer is in the mamory gland so not internal. She is still on metacam which has really perked her up.
She isn't eating much but had put on a little weight when seeing the vet last week. I have found 2 headless mice in the garden so she might be preferring them to cat food. I'm not seeing much of her in this heat as I think she has her favourite shrubs to get under. She will be on my bed when I turn in.
While she appears happy she will be here with me.
I am now a widow and live with my memories.

I guess if she's hunting, she's feeling well enough.
They are a worry and stress, but in my view, worth it in the long run :)

She is still with me and doing good. She is still on Metacam which she laps up each morning on a bit of gravy.
The lump is still huge but she does seem to have picked up from a month ago. Her appetite is better and she is more herself. At the moment it doesn't seem to bother her too much, even sleeping on that side at times. With the hot weather she takes herself off into the field opposite and settles down under a bush somewhere. All the animals are a bit lethargic in the heat.
She should be going back to the vet this Friday but I have enough meds for another week so am going to change her appointment to next week. To be honest, she has an afternoon appointment and in the afternoons I have no idea where she is. Of course her care comes first but at £70 every 3wks I'm afraid the vet will have to trust me that I will do what is right. Thanks for asking after her Gwen. x

Glad to hear she is doing well, June.
Your judgement as the owner, who knows her better than anyone else is the best imho.
