Barney went in at 9.30 this morning to have his dental. Heaven knows how many teeth he will come home with.
They should be ringing around 4 ish

He is home.
Totally zonked out now, so I am not going to bother with any food. Just let him recover.
He had 10 teeth out. Poor little old man.
But he will be better for it.
Going back on Monday for check up.
Bill was £592.65....which I thought for 10 teeth from my vet, wasn't bad.
Rescue are paying for that as he needed it when I took him on.

Glad to hear Barney has come round OK. The best thing for him is to sleep it off like you say.
What rescue did you get him from, Wendy if you don't mind me asking? The ones I have come across usually make you take the animal lock, stock and barrel if you get my meaning.

I got him from Norfolk Greyhound Rescue.
They rehome so many Greyhounds, it is incredible the work they do. None go in kennels.
Those not rehomed straight away go to foster.
I suppose the thing is to not to take so many you have no where for them to go.
But I am really impressed with them.

Pleased to read that Barney is home Wendy. Poor lad, what a sore mouth he will have. I have had just one of my shelties with several extractions.

Oh bless him.. Hopefully he will soon be over the ordeal of having so many teeth out. He will be uncomfortable for a while but has probably felt worse with a mouthful of bad teeth. The one thing that amazes me with dogs is how quickly they recover and make the most of everything. Different to many humans.
Beau has his warts removed on Wednesday, so I will have the same anxiety for the day. Got to be done as he rubs the one between his eyes around the furniture and makes it bleed, then sore, then itchy. Not so good with a pale beige sofa. The vet will remove any more, at least 5 while under.
Good job both our boys have someone to care for and love them. xx

You are right June.
It is a worry but sometimes, like our two, there is no choice.
He is not himself, but a lot better than last night. An old man and a little groggy still, on those long legs. Not a good combination. )grin2(
But he has eaten. So on the up and up.
Let us know how Beau gets on June

Yes he is bright eyed and bushey tailed. Wouldn't think he had had them out.
Still on soft food and going back on Monday.
I am pleased with how he is doing, Gwen, thank you
