Angel poorly

Post by Spreckly »

Last night Angel appeared very quiet. She had been all right during the day, and while I was at the hospital, but I did notice she was taking her time to toilet before I went out.

My neighbour who looks after her during my absences said she had been fine. However, two nights since Angel had a fall. My back was turned, and when I looked, she had somehow slipped off the chair, and was on the floor. She appeared to be fine, and all her limbs were as they should be.

This morning I gave her a small breakfast which she ate with enthusiasm, toiletted her, and then took her to see the vet, who did a thorough examination, even emptying her anal glands, which were OK. However, Angel did have a temperature, so a blood test was taken, and anti-inflammatories given. The latter will last twenty four hours. The blood results will not be available until tomorrow.

So we wait and see. At present Angel is a little more lively, doing her usual amount of barking at the outside world, and I have to leave her within the hour to go to see Ted.

Rather worrying. I do wonder if she had bruised her bladder when she fell.

Poor Angel and poor you. Hopefully not too much is wrong if she is her normal self this morning. My friend had a similar worry a few days ago when her little dog cried when passing a poop. She had an infection in her anal glands and is well after antibiotics.
Hope she is well soon bless her and you will have less to worry about. x
I am now a widow and live with my memories.
