Always have had dogs and cats together. Just haven't a cat now as our road had become very busy and I wouldn't have a cat that had to be housebound.
But dogs have always been the love of my life [that surprises you doesn't it ?], born into a house of them and have never been without one.

I'm a bit selfish. I like dogs but couldn't find the time to do things with them which you should do.

Mind you, my three cats are a pain sometimes, they just never leave me alone and want food everytime they come through a door!
I shut myself in my shed office and the door is being banged continuously!

But given the two, I'd still go for cats.

Definitely dogs - they are more loyal and better companions (in my experience)

We had two dogs and two cats for many years but lost them during the past year. We now have one cat and one dog but hope to increase the family in the Spring!
