Only arthritis!

Post by Mallard »

Doctor's appointment today with a niggling pain sort of under and around all the debris of a cancer op, and ending in the nether regions :oops:
The doctor was Dr. Wossname I hadn't seen before. Dr. Wossname turns out to be a rather young tall blonde lady :oops:
As it was an 8.45am appointment, I asked her if she'd had her breakfast before she examined me! )j;
I was a bit worried thinking about all the palarver I'd had before; but after quizzing me on all the other joint pains I get, it was decided that the pain was from a now arthritic hip!
Thank goodness for small mercies, at least I can still dig! )t'

Yes Mal and Stace. Painful and annoying but at least you can be your own weather forecaster -Aching? going to rain.
I take fish oil and Glucosamine, seems to have helped.

Osteo- or rhumatoid- (sp?)? As my regular readers will know, I've just had a replacement knee joint for the osteo- variety, and it is working out fine, six weeks after the op.
There were chaps in the ward with me having hip replacements, and by all accounts, it is less aggro doing a hip. Then again, you may not want/be able to have surgery.

I had a replacement knee joint after a riding accident a few years ago, and followed doctors orders to the letter...... Almost as good as new. I can run, ride and do everything as before. Physio in water is great for strength building. )t'

Im glad to hear that its not the cancer back Mallard. Arthritis can be painfull, but better than the other. I hope it wont hinder you on the allotment. {hug}

What a relief and a pain all in one go. Older friend of mine had Arthritis and used to take a tablespoon of cider vinegar every day mixed with a tablespoon of honey (it was recommended to her by our farrier!!) anyway she swore by it and when she went on holiday and forgot to take it after a couple of days knew it so she reckoned it wasn't a fluke....just another option maybe.

Just tried it; the honey was fresh but I think the cider vinegar could have been in the cupboard ten years! yike*
I'll put one on the shopping list. In the meantime I'll wash the taste away with a gnt! )grin2(

I don't know if you know but rhubarb is a no-no if you have arthritis.
