Dear Jen

It is hardly suprising that you are stressed and overstretched at the moment. You have enough going on in your own life, let alone taking into account your concern for others around you too. Whether or not this is the cause of your sore mouth, I'm afraid I am not qualified to say, although being 'a bit under par' can result in all sorts of peculiar things.

My advice to you would be to give it a few days or so, to see how it goes. If no improvement, then you should pop to your dentist or doctor just to have it checked.

Take care. {hug}

You go easy Jen, you've a lot going on, too much and we all suffer a tad when we're low and worried etc.

The only medicaion I know is 'Drontil' a mouth wash which some Dentists supply on prescription, but it's less expensive to buy it, even then it's a lot, but it's very very good.
But, don't take anything without medical advice if you're unsure.

Take you Gal,

I really rate Tyrozets for a sore throat, they have anasthetic and antibiotic properties. Perhaps they would help a sore mouth too. It is only available over the counter so you could ask for advice.

I must second what everyone else has said, this is quite likely this is because of the strain you are under. Hope it clears up soon, Effie

Sounds as if it may be a touch of thrush which can be stress related,Have a word with a friendly pharmacist for a fungicidal mouthwash and try some live youghurt and honey which helps restore your PH balance in your mouth.

I sometimes get what seems like a sore red spot on the roof of my mouth, the dentist said it was a saliva gland that was blocked, though if you have more than one sore patch I should think it may be something else.

You can't go far wrong using a salt water mouthwash, that won't do you any harm, no matter what's wrong, though it doesn't taste very nice!

I hope you feel better soon.

Sssssh, Jen will hear !

Just remembering how, if there was Chicken Pox about, you'd put all the kids who hadn't had it in with with them !

I remember the Measles, dark lampshades and the curtains closed (remembered that when I watched 'Larkrise to Candleford' last week).
With mumps, if you were a bloke over about 14'ish, you lay on a cushion underneath the under carraige !
