Ladies only - a question about lady matters

Post by Sunny B »

Can anyone suggest a way to get into a routine for doing pelvic floor exercises? I've tried in the past, thinking I'll do it every time I brush my teeth or do the washing up, but always forget after the first few days.

Because you're a man and you couldn't help yourself {warn} )j;

Yes, ladies, you can do them sitting down. I had a friend who's little problem had got so bad that it was really causing her grief. Her consultant recommended botox injections. It seemed a strange place to have botox (and nobody can see the results and comment on how much younger you look )grin2( ) but she's not lost a drop since, and that was 6 years ago )t'

I dont know if they do it in the uk, but here you can go to a physio to have some sort of treatment...... I think its solar waves or something but im not sure. They offer it to pregnant women.... Prehaps ask your GP?

Hope it gets better soon {hug}

Yes there is a lot of help if you ask.
There are machines that can help improve the effectiveness, but you need to be doing them correctly in the first place.
They can be done in any postion, sitting standing and even lying down, )t'
good luck!!

Maybe I should book an appointment with one of the practice nurses, I've never been 100% sure that I'm doing things right on the occasions I've tried. :oops:

I have been reading a very interesting book recently called "Too Young to Get Old" by Christine Webber, she tells of a woman who bought a special dumbell, but her muscles were too weak to hold it in and it fell out and broke her toe :shock:

Sunny, that made me {rofwl} {rofwl} but not to much {rofwl} {rofwl}

You might be better asking for a physio that specialises in these areas.

A friend of mine said she had the most excruciating 45 mins of her life with an obstectric physio but she had been doing the exercises wrong yike* and that time spent with the obs physio saved her from major surgery........
